Meet the doulas

As a mother of 3 my journey into the world of birth support began while preparing for the arrival of my second child. After a less-than-satisfactory first birthing experience, I became deeply invested in learning about all the aspects of childbirth.  I focused on empowering my mind, body, and spirit to embrace the unique journey of each birth, trusting both myself and my baby, and surrendering to the inevitable unknowns that comes with every birth experience. 

As a Doula, my passion lies in empowering families with knowledge and confidence. I am dedicated to ensuring that you are fully informed and educated as you make decisions about your body, your birth, and your baby. Whether you choose an unmedicated home birth or a planned cesarean, my mission is to help you make the choices that feel right for you and leave you feeling empowered, respected, and supported. The day your baby journeys through that sacred passage into the world is one of the most profound and unforgettable moments of your life. Birth is not just about having a "happy, healthy baby" it’s equally about nurturing a "happy, healthy mother." One cannot truly exist without the other. I believe that birthing mothers should take charge of this sacred time, creating an environment of safety, comfort, and unwavering support. 

 In 2022, my family and I relocated to the Shuswap to begin a new chapter away from city life. We are so thrilled that we have landed in this beautiful area and I am happy to be serving families here.  

Over the past twenty years, I have had the privilege of supporting hundreds of families in a variety of roles — as a birth doula, prenatal yoga teacher, and facilitator of newborn and postpartum classes. For ten years, I also served as the Office Manager at a busy Vancouver midwifery clinic, Westside Midwives, where I gained deep insight into the journey families take from pregnancy through postpartum.

Birth has always been a deep passion of mine. There is something incredibly powerful about witnessing women discover the strength within themselves during birth, and seeing the unique bond that grows between partners as they navigate the experience together. Supporting families through this transformative time truly fills my cup.
