Pregnancy is the beginning of a journey unlike any other—an adventure filled with excitement, anticipation, and sometimes trepidation. Every birth is profoundly transformative. Having the right support makes all the difference. As a birth and postpartum doula, I provide compassionate, non-judgmental support to families in the Salmon Arm, Shuswap, Vernon, Revelstoke, and Kamloops areas, helping you feel informed, confident, and empowered every step of the way.
Think of a doula as a non-medical birth companion—someone who has journeyed this “mountain” many times and experienced its many variations while walking alongside women and their families as they welcome their babies into the world. A doula’s role is to be a calm, steady presence, offering guidance when needed, suggesting tools and perspectives, and helping to reframe challenges as labor intensifies—all while encouraging you to keep moving forward, one surge at a time.
Doulas play a vital role in supporting not just the birthing mother, but also their partners. We work alongside dads and partners, complementing their role by offering guidance and practical support to help them better support their loved one. They provide reminders on comfort measures, assist with positioning, and offer emotional support, helping them feel more confident and involved. We also ensure they have opportunities to take small breaks—whether it's to eat, sleep, tend to other children, or just to get some air.
I offer a free, no-obligation consultation—virtually or in person over tea. During this time, you’ll have the opportunity to learn more about my services, ask questions, and see if I’m the right fit to walk alongside you on this life-changing journey into parenthood
My goal is to help create a positive, empowering birth experience tailored to your needs. Learn more about what doulas can offer and how we can enhance your journey, ensuring you feel confident, informed, and supported every step of the way!
